UES Candidate Nets 2 Key Endorsements For AD-73 Race

After becoming a popular choice but ultimately losing to Virginia Maloney in this spring’s City Council primary for District 4, which covers the western half of the Upper East Side and other neighborhoods down to 14th Street, Aronson has once again donned her running shoes and set her sights on Assembly District 73.

Petitioning Day of Action

Come and join us for petitioning with the Lexington Democratic Club on Saturday 3/21 from 10am-12pm! We will be petitioning by the East River Esplanade to meet voters in the community and ensure that Vanessa and all the Lexington Democratic Club endorsed candidates get on the ballot.

Petitioning Day of Action

The goal of antisemitism is, as it has always been, to divide us, isolate us, and snuff out our light.

The Maccabees taught us persistence and hope

Vanessa Aronson, who came in second in a tight CD 4 primary in June and is former president of the Lexington Dem Club, has announced that she’s running for Alex Bores’s Assembly seat next year. Heavily armed with a roster of endorsements from local and statewide Democratic leadership, Aronson will be participating in the state’s matching funds program.

Ready to run for the Bores seat

At the state level, Vanessa will prioritize protecting existing affordable housing while also increasing supply. That means supporting investments to stabilize rent-stabilized and affordable buildings that are at risk, and ensuring those homes remain available to the tenants who depend on them.

Affordable Communities & Housing

Vanessa Aronson is jumping into the race to succeed Assemblymember Alex Bores months after her narrow second place finish to Virginia Maloney in a Democratic City Council primary on the east side of Manhattan.

When One Door Closes

Petitioning Kickoff Rally

Come join us for a petitioning kick-off rally at Ruppert Park on Saturday 2/28 at 1:00pm! We will be joined by very special guests including elected officials, campaign partners, and supporters to talk about the importance of the upcoming election. We will be collecting petition signatures in the park after the rally!

Petitioning Kickoff Rally

Vanessa Aronson is a shoo-in to fill Alex Bores’ Assembly seat on the east side of Manhattan. That isn’t a political analysis of a crowded field, but the facts – Aronson is the only Democrat running who has filed petitions for the open seat. This means there won’t be a primary, and Aronson will be the Democratic party’s nominee on the ballot in November in a district President Donald Trump lost by 53 points.

Vanessa Aronson is walking right into the Assembly

Vanessa will work to expand access to affordable home care and strengthen services that allow seniors to stay connected to their families and neighborhoods.

The 2026 Manhattan Power 100

Vanessa will support smart, evidence-based strategies to reduce crime, combat antisemitism and other forms of hate, and strengthen trust between communities and those responsible for public safety.

Safe and Accessible Communities

Vanessa will work to expand access to affordable, high-quality healthcare across the state, reduce out-of-pocket costs, and close coverage gaps so that every New Yorker can get the care they need.

New York must be a place where LGBTQ+ individuals are not just protected, but empowered to live and thrive. That means standing firm against discrimination, investing in safety and opportunity, and ensuring that the protections under the NYS constitution are enforced with integrity and accountability.
